Evaluate Management Performance and the Degree of Readiness Hospital Emergency in Critical Situations

Background: Hospitals, especially their emergency departments, are among the first health systems affected by accidents and disasters. Because of its nature obligation to provide highest quality services, this department should have protocols for coordination interaction with other departments be fully prepared in critical situations. This study aims evaluate disaster preparedness Emergency Department Shahid Motahari Hospital Isfahan Province, Iran. Materials Methods: research is an applied descriptive conducted Fooladshahr City, The data were collected using Persian version World Health Organization’s Response Checklist completed through interview document analysis. checklist consists 90 items 9 domains, including command control (7 items), communications (9 safety security (11 triage (10 surge capacity (13 continuity essential services (8 human resources (15 logistics supply management items) post-disaster recovery items). obtained analyzed SPSS statistics over 4 months. Results: was poor domain good communication domain. Conclusion: hospital at a moderate level. Planning implementation practical measures such as holding crisis courses, establishing team, estimating necessary resources, changing structure, providing more accurate ease service delivery, maintaining rapid repairing equipment, timely triage, retrofitting hospitals can play effective role improving department.
